About this site

Contact The Fieldnote Desk

Everything reaches us through one address: [email protected]. It is a live, monitored mailbox read by the people who edit this site.

Corrections

If a specific sentence on a specific page is wrong, tell us: send the page URL, the sentence, and the evidence. Material corrections are made in the page and logged publicly — the full process, and the log itself, live on the corrections page.

Right of reply

If you are the subject of a profile or named on any page, the same address reaches the desk directly. Responses from profile subjects are reviewed and recorded on the profile itself. We correct for evidence, not for pressure, and legal correspondence is reviewed before any content changes.

Press, schools and researchers

Journalists, teachers, safeguarding leads, parents' groups and researchers are welcome to write with questions about anything we publish, our methods, or how to use the site's material. Say who you are and what you need; we answer what we can.

Tips

We take tips — with evidence. Documents, archives, receipts, links to primary material. Everything is independently verified before a word of it is published, and nothing goes on the site on the strength of a tip alone. If you cannot share evidence safely by email, say so and we will suggest an alternative.

Who you are writing to

The desk publishes pseudonymously. This site covers communities and individuals with a documented history of targeting critics, and the byline policy exists so that coverage decisions are made on evidence rather than under threat. The trade-off we owe you in return is radical transparency about method: every page carries its sources, and our binding rules are public on the editorial standards page.

What to expect: correction requests and right-of-reply messages are prioritised and normally acknowledged within seven days. Press and school enquiries usually get a reply within the same window. Tips are always read, but may not receive an individual response.

There are no comment sections or contact forms anywhere on this site, by policy — one address, read by people, is the whole system.
